Registration For Brewster Residents Opens Monday, February 9, 2026Registration For Non-Brewster Residents Opens Monday, February 16, 2026Dates: Session 1: Friday, April 10, 2026             Session 2: Friday, April 17, 2026              Session 3: Friday, May 8, 2026              Session 4: Friday, May 15, 2026             Session 5: Friday, May 22, 2026Time: All sessions will be held from 2:30PM - 3:30PM (Rec staff will meet students enrolled in this program directly after school @ 2:00PM and walk them to the Brewster Community Youth Tennis Courts) Ages: Grades 3-5 Location: Brewster Community Youth Tennis CourtsPrices: Option 1: $20R/$25NR/Per Child/Per Session                                *Freedom to pick and choose sessions                               *Ability to register for any session at any time as long as its available             Option 2: $80R/$105NR/for all 5 sessions                                *20% savings                               *Must register for all 5 sessions at time of registration                               *Discount will be applied at the end of the checkout processProgram Description: Brewster Recreation has partnered with BOOST Pickleball to offer an exciting five class after school program. Through the use of fun games and challenges, kids will be introduced to basic rules, scoring, stroke/play and fundamentals and safety of the sport. Each class will focus on a different element of the game (serving, returning, non-volley zone, transition area) and at the completion of the program students will have a good understanding of how to have fun and be safe while playing. Classes will be taught by a Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) Certified Teaching Pro. Students who register for this program will be met by rec staff after school and walked over to the courts. Students are to be picked up at the courts by parents or guardians unless in the NYA program. Equipment is provided, no experience necessary. What To Bring: All participants must wear proper athletic shoes that offer support (no crocs, flip flops or sandals). Court style shoes recommended but not necessary. Proper athletic attire is expected. Participants are also asked to bring a water bottle and a pickleball paddle if they have one. This clinic includes 45-60 minutes of hands-on instruction followed by game play led by experienced instructors who will teach fundamentals of the game. Essential strokes such as the serve, return, forehand/backhand ground strokes, and volleys will be the main focus. Drills and games will be used to emphasize each shot. All equipment is provided.  Advanced Beginner Clinic Saturday, May 16, 2026 @ 2:00PM-3:30PMWant to take the next steps for improving game play? This fun clinic focus on improving essential strokes, movement and strategy as well as basic doubles positioning and communication. This clinic includes 45-60 minutes of hands-on instruction followed by game play led by experienced instructors. All equipment is provided.       Beginner/Advanced Combo ClinicThursday, May 21, 2026 @ 2:00PM-3:30PMThis clinic will focus on guided play, point construction and developing the first four shots of the game and is led by experienced instructors. All equipment is provided.Program Description: Open to those players looking to take the next step in your game. These pickleball clinics are designed for beginner to advanced beginner level players who want to progress into more advanced play by working on strokes and utilizing them in a game. Register for each clinic separately or take them all! Each clinic will include 45-60 minutes of hands-on instruction followed by game play. All equipment is provided.New England pickleball ambassador Sherry Scheer will host all adult pickleball clinics this spring. Sherry holds multiple teaching certifications and credentials and is also a five-time National Champion, four-time US Open Medalist, Sixteen-time USAPA Nationals Contender and a drafted Senior Pro Player for the Florida Royals. She is also a winner of more then 125 competitive medals, a sponsored player by Engage Pickleball, and a rep for Diadem Pickleball.  What To Bring: Pickleball paddle if available (otherwise a paddle and all other equipment will be provided) water and proper clothing.*If rained out, the clinic will be made up the following day at the same time. *All clinics are non-refundable and no account credit is given.
