Through the use of fun games and challenges, kids will be introduced to the sport of pickleball and how to be safe on the court. Students who register for this program will be met by Rec Staff after school and walked over to the courts. Students are to be pickup at the courts my parents or guardian unless in the NYA program. Equipment is provided, no experience necessary. What To Bring: All participants must wear proper athletic shoes that offer some support (no crocs, flip flops or sandals). Court style shoes recommended but not necessary. Proper athletic attire is expected. Participants are also asked to bring a water bottle and any pickleball paddle they own. Brewster Rec and BOOST PickleBall will also provide paddles for those, as needed.   Train Like a Pro Session (Grades 6-8) Dates: Saturday, September 20, 2025Time: 3:00PM - 4:30PM Ages: Boys & Girls in Grades 6-8 Location: Brewster Community Youth Tennis CourtsPrice: $20R/$25NR/per child per session**There is the possibility of offer another session on the 27th depending on registration for 9/20Program Description: Brewster Recreation, in partnership with BOOST PB, present pro sessions for juniors. Our junior pros will focus on one new element of the sport (serve, return of serve, quick hand exchange volleys, overhead put aways, touch shots and more) each session, and apply it to competitive friendly play that day. Proper court etiquette and sportsmanship expected and respected. Learn to play like a pro with certified coach, Corey Sprague.
