BREWSTER BIKE FEST. FUN FOR ALL AGES!Date: Saturday, May 16, 2026Time: 1:00PM - 4:00PM (Pre-registration starts at 12:30PM)Ages: Open to everyone Location: Brewster Bay Property Price: Free (Registration is in person on the day of the event) Program Description: The Brewster Recreation Department and Brewster Bicycle & Pedestrian Committee would like to invite families to the 2026 Brewster Bike Fest! This event will include many bike-related events and activities including bike safety tips, equipment suggestions, and a bike clinic where riders learn skills and precautions to use while riding a bike. The day will also include a fun bike rodeo course. A bike expo with various vendors will be on property where riders can learn about local companies and services. This is a FREE event. Snacks and drinks will be provided for everyone! Event includes:*Vendors*Bike checks*Kids rodeo*Bike & helmet fittings*Bike/bus loading demonstration*Free water bottlesWhat to Bring: Bring or ride your bike to Bike Fest to participate. Helmets are required.  *If it rains, the event will move to the gymnasium at Eddy Elementary.

Brewster Recreation in partnership with the Cape Cod School of Saltwater Fly Fishing presents an introductory course on the fundamentals of saltwater fly fishing. These courses are open to everyone 10 years and older and cover basic instruction on relevant terminology, gear, and casting. Progression during the course will allow participants to learn more advanced casting techniques and fishing strategies. A three tier progression system allows students to progress at their own pace, advancing tier by tier as skills are developed. To register for the Tier 1 clinic, students can choose one of two days: May 14 or May 21 (Students must complete tier 1 to advance to tier 2)To register for the Tier 2 clinic, students can choose one of two days: May 28 or June 4 (Students must complete tier 1 to advance to tier 2)The Tier 3 clinic is held on June 11.No prior experience is required and all equipment is provided. This course is held on First Light Beach. Participants should expect sandy and windy conditions. Open field space on the property will serve as a backup if the conditions at the beach are not ideal.
