Brewster Recreation in partnership with the Cape Cod School of Saltwater Fly Fishing presents a fundamental fly fishing course that is an introduction to saltwater fly fishing. These courses are open to everyone 10 years and older and will cover basic instruction on relevant terminology, gear, and casting. Progression during the course will allow participants to learn more advanced casting instruction and introduction to fishing strategies. A three tier progression system allows students to progress at their own pace, advancing tier by tier as students develop more skills. To register for the Tier 1 class students can choose one of two days: May 15 or May 22 (Students must complete tier one to advance to tier 2)To register for the Tier 2 class students can choose one of two days: May 29 or June 6 (Students must complete tier one to advance to tier 2)The Tier 3 class is held on June 12No prior experience is required to attend, and all equipment is provided. This course is held on First Light Beach, participants should expect sandy and windy conditions. Open field space on the property will serve as a backup if the conditions at the beach are not ideal.
