Become a member and join the group and enjoy time outside with other players at your skill level.  *During off hours, the courts are open to the public on a first come, first serve basis. *Participants must be 18 years old unless they are with an adult.*Routine grounds keeping and facility maintenance is scheduled for every Thursday morning starting in May.  Members have access to pickleballs, picnic tables, and portable nets, if needed.  The last members leaving the courts are responsible for putting equipment away and putting the umbrellas down.  The majority of the members use the TeamReach app to communicate with each other. In 2021, there were two additional pickleball courts striped on court 4 of the upper tennis courts.  The rules for that court are as follows: Tennis courts 3 & 4 are only to be used by pickleball players if all the pickleball courts are full & are not being currently being used for senior tennis. Through the use of fun games and challenges, kids will be introduced to basic rules, scoring, stroke/play and fundamentals and safety of the sport. Each class will focus on a different element of the game (serving, returning, non-volley zone, transition area) and at the completion of the program students will have a good understanding of how to have fun and be safe playing. Classes will be taught by a Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) Certified Teaching Pro. Students who register for this program will be met by Rec Staff after school and walked over to the courts. Students are to be pickup at the courts my parents or guardian unless in the NYA program. Equipment is provided, no experience necessary. What To Bring: All participants must wear proper athletic shoes that offer some support (no crocs, flip flops or sandals). Court style shoes recommended but not necessary. Proper athletic attire is expected. Participants are also asked to bring a water bottle and any pickleball paddle they own. Become a member and join the group and enjoy time outside with other players at your skill level.  *During off hours, the courts are open to the public on a first come, first serve basis. *Participants must be 18 years old unless they are with an adult.*Routine grounds keeping and facility maintenance is scheduled for every Thursday morning starting in May.  Members have access to pickleballs, picnic tables, and portable nets, if needed.  The last members leaving the courts are responsible for putting equipment away and putting the umbrellas down.  The majority of the members use the TeamReach app to communicate with each other. In 2021, there were two additional pickleball courts striped on court 4 of the upper tennis courts.  The rules for that court are as follows: Tennis courts 3 & 4 are only to be used by pickleball players if all the pickleball courts are full & are not being currently being used for senior tennis. During Senior Tennis hours tennis court 3 & 4 are reserved specifically for that group from the hours of 9:00am-11:00am on Monday, Wednesday & Fridays.
