Registration For Brewster Residents Opens Monday, May 13, 2024Registration For Non-Brewster Residents Opens Monday, May 20, 2024Program Description: Brewster Recreation's Youth Leader (YL) Program is designed for students who are entering Grade 8-9, and who are interested in becoming better leaders. This program immerses teens in a work environment and covers a curriculum that includes topics such as leadership, conflict resolution, child development, and group dynamics that leads to the making of a better community leader. Participation in the program does not guarantee future employment with the Town of Brewster. *There is a one time $20.00 cost to participate. *This is a VOLUNTEER position for all participants.*Youth Leaders MUST attend program training prior to joining our program.*Leading up to the program, Brewster Rec staff will confirm the YL's attendance for training dates.*Summer Rec Youth Leaders that are accepted into the program are expect to volunteer Monday-Friday from 7:45AM-12:00PM each week.*Summer Rec Program Runs from June 26, 2024-August 9, 2024MANDATORY Youth Leader Staff TrainingDate: Saturday, June 22, 2023Time: 12:00PM - 4:00PM Location: Brewster Recreation Office Please call the Brewster Recreation office at 508-896-9430 for more information.

Registration For Brewster Residents Opens Monday, May 13, 2024Registration For Non-Brewster Residents Opens Monday, May 20, 2024Program Description: Brewster Recreation's Youth Leader (YL) Program is designed for students who are entering Grade 8-9, and who are interested in becoming better leaders. This program immerses teens in a work environment and covers a curriculum that includes topics such as leadership, conflict resolution, child development, and group dynamics that leads to the making of a better community leader. Participation in the program does not guarantee future employment with the Town of Brewster. *There is a one time $20.00 cost to participate. *This is a VOLUNTEER position for all participants.*Youth Leaders MUST attend program training prior to joining our program.*Leading up to the program, Brewster Rec staff will confirm the YL's attendance for training dates.*Summer Rec Youth Leaders that are accepted into the program are expect to volunteer Monday-Friday from 7:45AM-12:00PM each week.*Summer Rec Program Runs from June 26, 2024-August 9, 2024MANDATORY Youth Leader Staff TrainingDate: Saturday, June 22, 2023Time: 12:00PM - 4:00PM Location: Brewster Recreation Office Please call the Brewster Recreation office at 508-896-9430 for more information.

The Brewster Recreation open adult basketball program is back! Designed to create a positive opportunity for men and women to participate in pick-up basketball games, socialize, and be active in the Fall, Winter, and Spring months. To participate, simply arrive at Eddy Elementary School (park in back parking lot) enter though back gym doors, pay recreation staff member $5.00 cash, sign in and agree to the program waiver, and have fun! All ability levels are welcome to join. No experience necessary. Equipment is provided. What to bring: Basketball shoes, athletic clothing (white and/or black shirt/jersey) and water.

This program immerses teens in a work environment and covers a curriculum that includes topics such as leadership, conflict resolution, child development, and group dynamics that leads to the making of a better community leader. This program immerses teens in a work environment and covers a curriculum that includes topics such as leadership, conflict resolution, child development, and group dynamics that leads to the making of a better community leader. Participation in the program does not guarantee future employment with the Town of Brewster. *There is a one time $20.00 cost to participate. *This is a VOLUNTEER position for all participants.*Youth Leaders MUST attend program training prior to joining our program.*Leading up to the program, Brewster Rec staff will confirm the YL's attendance for training dates.*Summer Rec Youth Leaders that are accepted into the program are expect to volunteer Monday-Friday from 7:45AM-12:00PM each week.*Summer Rec Program Runs from June 26, 2024-August 9, 2024MANDATORY Youth Leader Staff TrainingDate: Saturday, June 22, 2023Time: 12:00PM - 4:00PM Location: Brewster Recreation Office Please call the Brewster Recreation office at 508-896-9430 for more information.

Registration For Brewster Residents Opens Monday, May 13, 2024Registration For Non-Brewster Residents Opens Monday, May 20, 2024Program Description: Brewster Recreation's Youth Leader (YL) Program is designed for students who are entering Grade 8-9, and who are interested in becoming better leaders. This program immerses teens in a work environment and covers a curriculum that includes topics such as leadership, conflict resolution, child development, and group dynamics that leads to the making of a better community leader. This program immerses teens in a work environment and covers a curriculum that includes topics such as leadership, conflict resolution, child development, and group dynamics that leads to the making of a better community leader. To participate, simply arrive at Eddy Elementary School (park in back parking lot) enter though back gym doors, pay recreation staff member $5.00 cash, sign in and agree to the program waiver, and have fun! This program immerses teens in a work environment and covers a curriculum that includes topics such as leadership, conflict resolution, child development, and group dynamics that leads to the making of a better community leader. Pick-Up Basketball - Adult Pick-Up Basketball
Adult Pick-Up Basketball Will Start Thursday October 5th, 2023. Dates: Thursdays: October 5,2023 - June 23, 2024. There is no Adult Pick-Up Basketball when school is closed and/or during school vacations.Time: 6:45PM-8:45PM Ages: Men & Women 18+ Location: Eddy Elementary School Gym, Rear EntrancePrice: $5 drop in fee per person per day (Cash Only) Program Description: Held on Thursday evenings and open to all adults 18 and over. The Brewster Recreation open adult basketball program is back! Designed to create a positive opportunity for men and women to participate in pick-up basketball games, socialize, and be active in the Fall, Winter, and Spring months. To participate, simply arrive at Eddy Elementary School (park in back parking lot) enter though back gym doors, pay recreation staff member $5.00 cash, sign in and agree to the program waiver, and have fun! All ability levels are welcome to join. No experience necessary. Equipment is provided. What to bring: Basketball shoes, athletic clothing (white and/or black shirt/jersey) and water.
