The Brewster Recreation open adult basketball program is back! Designed to create a positive opportunity for men and women to participate in pick-up basketball games, socialize, and be active in the Fall, Winter, and Spring months. To participate, simply arrive at Eddy Elementary School (park in back parking lot) enter though back gym doors, pay recreation staff member $5.00 cash, sign in and agree to the program waiver, and have fun! All ability levels are welcome to join. No experience necessary. Mass Audubon’s drop-off school vacation week program immerses children in nature through stories, games, crafts, and hikes led by their experienced team of environmental educators from 9:00AM-2:30PM daily. Offered for 3rd-5th graders in partnership with Brewster Recreation!Trek through the woods, vernal pools, and tidal flats to discover nature springing back to life on Cape Cod. Search for life under logs, or soaring overhead as you explore the outdoors with new friends! Groups will focus on a different habitat each day of the week.What to bring: *Layered clothes that can get wet and dirty (play clothes).*A hat with a brim for sun protection.*Socks and sneakers or close-toed shoes. No open-toed sandals or “jellies” please!*Insect repellent/sunscreen.*An insulated lunch bag with icepack. Erin has experience as a school teacher and has recently focused her energy primarily on being a yoga instructor. She has worked with kids as young as 3 years old to teenagers. This class is designed for kids ranging from 3rd to 5th grade. The class will meet once a week for 60 minutes where the kids will participate in yoga poses, meditation, breathing exercises and yoga games. These activities will help increase their body awareness as well as strength and flexibility while improving their focus and concentration. This supervised activity will be fun for all children! The Brewster Recreation open adult basketball program is back! Designed to create a positive opportunity for men and women to participate in pick-up basketball games, socialize, and be active in the Fall, Winter, and Spring months. To participate, simply arrive at Eddy Elementary School (park in back parking lot) enter though back gym doors, pay recreation staff member $5.00 cash, sign in and agree to the program waiver, and have fun! All ability levels are welcome to join. No experience necessary.
