Program Description: Brewster Recreation's Youth Leader (YL) Program is designed for students who are entering Grade 8-9, and who are interested in becoming better leaders. This program immerses teens in a work environment and covers a curriculum that includes topics such as leadership, conflict resolution, child development, and group dynamics that leads to the making of a better community leader. Participation in the program does not guarantee future employment with the Town of Brewster. 
*There is a one time $20.00 cost to participate. 
*This is a VOLUNTEER position for all participants.
*Youth Leaders MUST attend program training prior to joining our program.
*Leading up to the program, Brewster Rec staff will confirm the YL's attendance for training dates.
*Summer Rec Youth Leaders that are accepted into the program are expect to volunteer Monday-Friday from 7:45AM-12:00PM each week. 

Youth Leader Summer Rec Training Dates:

Training #1: YL's attending for the full summer (June 26- Aug 11) or summer session 1 (June 26-July 15) will need to attend this training. 
Date: Friday, June 23, 2023
Time: 8:00aM - 12:00PM 
Location: Brewster Recreation Office 

Training #2: YL's attending summer session 2 (July 18- Aug 11) will need to attend this training. 
Date: Thursday, July 13, 2023
Time: 12:30PM - 1:30PM 
Location: Brewster Recreation Office
