Program Description: This comprehensive program teaches the basics of sailing to  students from day 1! The classes include basic nautical terms, docking and mooring procedures, knotting techniques and recovery methods. All sailors will be evaluated on the first day to place them at the appropriate level of instruction. As sailors advance, an overview of racing skills and advanced boat handling will be covered. Students must be confident in their general knowledge of rigging, sailing without an instructor, and be willing to learn increased technical skills. All students must be able to swim independent. All equipment is provided. 

What To Bring: Proper clothing including footwear, sun protection, and water. Personal life jackets are suggested, however Brewster Recreation will have life jackets if needed.
