Brewster Recreation Programs Scholarship - Application for the Brewster Recreation Programs Scholarship The Brewster Recreation Programs Scholarship helps to cover the cost of recreational opportunities for Brewster families who are in need. Brewster Recreation provides over 70 programs, activities, and events each year for community members of all ages. Although Brewster Recreation tries to provide low cost or free programming, we understand that many families are missing out on great opportunities due to finances. Your contribution to this fund helps to make sure everyone has an equal opportunity to participate. *Money collected for this need-based fund is available to qualifying Brewster residents and can be used towards any recreation program as partial or full payments. *As an alternative, the Good Neighbor Fund from the Town of Brewster, is a great resource for families in need of funding.To Donate:To donate to this fund online, please use the "Donate Now" process below.To donate to this fund in person, please visit our office at the Eddy Elementary School (2298 Main St, Brewster, MA 02631)To Apply:Brewster Residents in need of funding are encouraged to register below. *Please only register for current programs/sports/events/activities shown on website. *Requests for funds will not be granted for offerings not in season. *Requests will need to be made each season and are first come first serve if accepted.*Funds are only available and allocated depending on amount of money donated.* Families are welcome to apply in person if unable to apply online.A special thank you to Brewster Association of Part-Time Residents for their generous donation to this scholarship fund. Cash & Credit Card accepted. Program Description: If you are interested in renting snow shoes for the day, or for the weekend, we have you covered! Our rental shoes are standard adult snow shoes and will facilitate anyone from 100lbs to 250lbs. Please contact the Brewster Recreation staff for rental information or questions. The league is made up of teams from Harwich, Chatham, Brewster, Orleans, Eastham, Wellfleet, Truro and Provincetown. Fundamentals, skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship are emphasized. All teams will practice one night a week at the Stony Brook Gym and will have one game a week. Home games are played at Eddy Elementary School (7-8 game schedule). All players will be notified by Brewster Recreation of practice days and times. Space is limited, please sign up ASAP. Volunteer coaches are needed! Registered participants will be able to store their wheels at the Brewster Bay Property during the duration of the five week program. *All children are allowed to bring two types of active transportation aka "wheels". *All children must be able to independently operate their own wheels (program is not instructional).*All participants must have proper protective gear in order to participate. *Anything motorized or battery operated is prohibited. Each class will focus on a different element of the game (serving, returning, non-volley zone, transition area) and at the completion of the program students will have a good understanding of how to have fun and be safe while playing. Classes will be taught by a Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) Certified Teaching Pro. Students who register for this program will be met by rec staff after school and walked over to the courts. Students are to be picked up at the courts by parents or guardians unless in the NYA program. Equipment is provided, no experience necessary. What To Bring: All participants must wear proper athletic shoes that offer support (no crocs, flip flops or sandals). Court style shoes recommended but not necessary. Proper athletic attire is expected. Participants are also asked to bring a water bottle and a pickleball paddle if they have one. The rec department will supply portable nets, balls, and a few extra paddles as well as a whiteboard for court rotations. Registration, proof of residency, and payment are required for Saturday play. When registering online, a proof of residency document will need to be submitted at the start of the online process. If registering in-person please have appropriate documents and payment upon arrival. The weeks of school vacations are FREE and do not require registration, or proof of residency; just drop in! Brewster Recreation provides over 70 programs, activities, and events each year for community members of all ages. Although Brewster Recreation tries to provide low cost or free programming, we understand that many families are missing out on great opportunities due to finances. Wheel Good Time (Grades K-5) - Wheel Good Time Registration For Brewster Residents Opens Monday, February 9, 2026Registration For Non-Brewster Residents Opens Monday, February 16, 2026Dates: Wednesdays: April 1, 2026 - May 6, 2026 *No Wheel Good Time on Wednesday, April 22, 2026*Time: 3:00PM - 4:00PMAges: Grades K-5 (must be able to independently operate wheels) Location: Activity, drop-off, and pick-up is located at the Brewster Bay PropertyPrice: $35R/$45NR/Per ChildBrewster Recreation offers a $15 sibling discount for each additional child in the same household who registers for this program only. The sibling discount will be applied at the end of the checkout process. Registering for other sports/programs/activities does not qualify for sibling discount.Program Description: Bring your wheels to the bay for a "Wheel Good Time." Whether you prefer to ride a bike, scooter, skateboard, roller blades, or any other non-motorized or non-battery operated form of active transportation, this program is for you! Children in grades K-5 will be able ride their "wheels" around the Brewster Bay Property in a fun, safe, and supervised environment. Registered participants will be able to store their wheels at the Brewster Bay Property during the duration of the five week program. *All children are allowed to bring two types of active transportation aka "wheels". *All children must be able to independently operate their own wheels (program is not instructional).*All participants must have proper protective gear in order to participate. *Anything motorized or battery operated is prohibited. What To Bring: Protective gear, proper clothing, and water. Parents/Guardians are asked to bring wheels on the first day of the program. To participate, simply arrive at Eddy Elementary School (park in back parking lot) enter though back gym doors, pay recreation staff member $5.00 cash, sign in and agree to the program waiver, and have fun!
